CROPPING DIVERSIFICATION (CD) and ECOLOGICAL FOCUS AREA (EFA) CALCULATIONS FOR GREENING PAYMENTS
If you are claiming BPS and growing arable crops in 2020 you need to have your CD and EFA calculations done now, to plan your crop rotation correctly. Greening makes up 30% of your BPS claim, so don’t get caught out.
For CD if you have more than 10 hectares (24.71 acres) of arable land you must follow the greening rules.
For EFA if you have more than 15 hectares (37.06 acres) of arable land you must follow the greening rules.
Remember – Temporary grass (grassland less than 6 years old) is classified as arable.
